Exeter Entrepreneurs is the University of Exeter's society for people that are business minded with an interest in entrepreneurial skills. It is quite separate from the Business and Economics society (BESoc) however over the next year we will be working with BESoc and Marketing and Management (M&M) to allow you to network with some of the most business minded people at the university.
One of our main goals is to bring you a number of events, that will allow you to learn more about business and how you yourself can begin to think about starting a business. We will also be hosting a number of events for people who may already have established a business, and these events will also allow you to network with some of the different businesses or business minded people at the university.
The society was set up in 2009 by two business minded Exeter students, and in it’s first year it was awarded best new society by the Exeter Students Guild, and best new society in the south-west by the National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs. The founders managed to secure Sir Bob Geldof as patron of the society, and we were lucky enough to have him visit Exeter in July 2010 and present the awards for our very own competition; The Exeter Apprentice.
Exeter Entrepreneurs has a huge amount of events. We have a growing number of businesses at the university and we aim to grow to accommodate further new start-ups in the new year. We want to become one of the most entrepreneurial universities in the country, and it is our society that is at the forefront of making this happen. Exeter Entrepreneurs will be hosting events from speakers coming to the university to trips away as a whole society.
