Terms and Conditions for NACUE Groups Membership

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legal agreement by and between your Group members and NACUE. Group members agree to the terms set out herein.

1 Requirements for Membership

1.1

The member acknowledges that NACUE Groups membership is open to all student-led groups, societies and clubs that run within UK Universities either independently or under a department or student union, which have a primary aim to promote enterprise and entrepreneurship to students.

2 Benefits and Services

2.1

The member acknowledges that benefits or services may be governed by separate guidelines, rules or other terms and conditions that will be provided with that offer. The guidelines, rules or terms and conditions for a particular benefit or service shall govern that particular benefit or service.

2.2

NACUE Groups Portal Access: This is a custom designed portal that is exclusively for leaders and executive committee members of NACUE Groups. The NACUE Groups portal is equipped with management tools and resources, group profiles, a discussion forum, an e-newsletter, and an events calendar to aid NACUE Groups by enhancing knowledge sharing, collaboration and group management capabilities.

2.3

The member acknowledges and agrees that all materials and information under the Groups Portal is confidential and not to be shared with any third party. All materials and information under the Groups Portal and is copyright © 2009 by NACUE Ltd. Unless otherwise indicated, all content provided in the Groups Portal, and the NACUE Ltd. web site as a whole, including but not limited to icons, formatting, graphics, images, logos, software and text, is copyright of NACUE Ltd. and is protected by applicable British and international copyright laws, all rights reserved. No part of the contents of this web site may be used or reproduced without written permission from NACUE Ltd unless other wise indicated. Use without obtaining prior written permission is expressly prohibited by law, and may result in civil and criminal penalties.

2.4

NACUE Groups Training Weekend: The member acknowledges that NACUE Groups from across the UK convene annually for the NACUE Groups Training Weekend, wherein up to five representatives from the management team of each Group receive critical training, knowledge, resources and connections to inspire them and enable them to be more effective catalysts of entrepreneurship at their universities.

2.5

Development Fund & Resource Bank: The member acknowledges that this is a grant fund and in-kind resource bank to support NACUE Groups across the UK with assistance with administration, event, and NACUE engagement costs.

2.6

Mentorship Programme: The member acknowledges that this is a programme that connects new Group Leaders with successful Group Leaders, local entrepreneurs and enterprise champions to provide personal and organisational mentorship.

2.7

Regional Networks: The member acknowledges that NACUE supports five Regional Networks (North, Midands, South East, South West and London) composed of the NACUE Groups within each region. These networks host regular regional events and meetings and contribute to the overall governance of NACUE.

2.8

Advocacy: The member acknowledges that NACUE runs a campaign to inform regional and national policies to raise the profile of student-led enterprise groups and highlight the importance of developing supportive ecosystems for student ventures.

3 Obligations for Member Groups

As an approved member of NACUE Groups, your group is obligated to the following:

3.1

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group will maintain up to date contact details on the NACUE Groups Portal for both the Group Leader and its nominated University Adviser (a full time member of staff within the University).

3.2

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group will actively participate on the NACUE Groups Portal. Your Group Leader, University Adviser and management team are expected to engage on the portal regularly, sharing and editing online resources and toolkits, posting and replying to questions on the discussion forum and maintaining your Group profile.

3.3

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group will share all society events on the NACUE Events Calendar.

3.4

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group will engage regularly with the NACUE Groups Director and the relevant NACUE Groups Regional Chair.

3.5

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group will attend the annual training weekend and all regional events.

3.6

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group will promote NACUE Membership and opportunities to members of your society.

4 Use of the NACUE Brand and Logo

As an approved member of NACUE Groups, your group may place a NACUE membership seal on the following:

4.1

The group website.

4.2

The business cards of the management team.

4.3

Any promotional material for the group or the group’s events and/or services.

4.4

The member acknowledges and agrees that all of the above is dependent on following NACUE Branding Guidelines and Instructions document. If your group membership is terminated for any reason, NACUE branding must be removed from all materials within 15 calendar days. To obtain NACUE branding, please email info@nacue.com.

As an approved member of NACUE Groups, your group may not:

4.5

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group shall not state that the group, website, services and/or events are endorsed or approved by NACUE, its partners, sponsors or other members;

4.6

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group shall not place any reference to NACUE, its partners, sponsors or other members on any site which is not "child safe," promotes pornography, violence, drugs, alcohol, illegal or immoral acts, or otherwise contains material which may be deemed offensive, such definition being at the sole discretion of NACUE;

4.7

The member acknowledges and agrees that his or her group shall not to mention NACUE, its partners, sponsors or other members in any other manner not herein approved.

4.8

The member acknowledges and agrees that NACUE only endorses you as an enterprise society leader and endorses your enterprise society. NACUE does not endorse the ventures that you are working on independently. Any abuse or misuse of the NACUE logo and or brand name will result in your immediate removal as a NACUE Fellow and Member and may result in civil and criminal penalties. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions whatsoever.

5 Membership Cancellation

5.1

Cancellation by Group: Membership may be canceled at any time by the group.

5.2

Cancellation by NACUE: NACUE may cancel a membership at any time if the member group has violated any terms or conditions of the membership agreement or has brought NACUE into disrepute.

6 Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

6.1

The member acknowledges and agrees that the use of this web site constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions and take effect on the date which you first use the site.

6.2

The member acknowledges and agrees that the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online is reserved. You are responsible for reviewing regularly the terms and conditions published online to obtain timely notice of such changes. Your continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified by the published changes.

The member acknowledges that any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
