It is an honour to have been invited to be the fourth CEO of NACUE and I’m delighted to build upon the achievements made by my predecessors. Firstly, I would like to thank Johnny Luk for championing NACUE’s vision and ambitions for the last 2 years. I have experienced on a first hand basis his energy, his proactiveness and ultimately his dedication to NACUE and its mission. I am incredibly grateful for his support to date and the continuation of this in the future. I would also like to extend a personal thanks to current colleagues at NACUE. Their commitment and diligence, to both the organisation and in constantly striving to improve our services to our community, is outstanding and greatly appreciated. My dedication to leading NACUE in my new capacity, springs from not only my passionate belief in the NACUE vision but more importantly from seeing members of our community develop and exceed expectations during the last 3 years. To date I have been fortunate enough to work with hundreds of young people, all striving to make a difference in today's challenging economy, determined to make their own career paths through entrepreneurial activities. Providing a practical and hands on education, within a safe space, supported by external organisations and academics, is essential to encouraging the younger generation to reach their potential from any academic background. Enterprise Societies are pivotal in this, honouring and championing the success of young people, as well as acting as leaders within their educational institutions, building relationships with local businesses, developing partnerships with university faculties and most importantly, acting as catalysts and ambassadors for peer-to-peer engagement. I have experienced NACUE’s students potential on multiple forms, from working with small groups of learners launching student ventures on campus, running bootcamp weekends and watching young people flourish in 24 hours, to seeing thousands of young people energised after experiencing NACUE events. As always, my continued focus will be to listen and work closely with our partners, continuing to improve our offering through aligning our events and providing a clearer and broader service for all our members. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to working together in the near future.
