NACUE says farewell to CEO, Johnny Luk

After twenty-six months, NACUE bids farewell to CEO Johnny Luk. Since joining the organisation, he has strengthened NACUE’s membership offering, aligned further their core activities with the charitable mission and continued the diversification of NACUE’s revenue stream, with the assistance of a dedicated Senior Management Team. Under Johnny’s leadership, NACUE has continued to welcome and deliver events attended by thousands, advocated enterprise policy at ministerial level in the UK, across Europe and has joined ventures with MY-Way, alongside the EU commission, to champion web entrepreneurship through a 24 month long programme. Johnny’s innovative and creative approach dramatically revamped NACUE’s longstanding Leaders Summit, transforming it to showcase the entrepreneurial talent within NACUE’s impressive and diverse network. Johnny was asked what particularly stood out during his time at NACUE: "It is the people that will always leave the biggest impression on me. I have witnessed amazing young entrepreneurs flourish with their products, employing talent, raising investment and building an awesome community. I also understand truly what kindness and dedication is, especially from my colleagues and friends."  To hear more, Johnny has provided a personal video note here. Professor John MacIntyre, Chairman of NACUE’s Trustees, 'From me personally, and on behalf of the Board, a huge thank you for everything you have done for NACUE. We are all incredibly grateful for the way you've led the team, your positive approach and being the wonderful ambassador you are for the organisation. I know you will take that same attitude forward with you into your new role, and I wish you the very best in everything you do.' Johnny moves on to take up an opportunity managing national policy for digital engagement within the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. NACUE will greatly miss Johnny’s passion and the enthusiasm that he has brought to NACUE over the last few years but are delighted to have his ongoing support as an ambassador for NACUE in their forthcoming events cycle, as well as for years to come. NACUE are pleased to announce that the current Head of Community, Holly Knower, will be the acting CEO in the interim, and she is looking forward to continuing to deliver the well received programmes and projects that NACUE has become known for and continue the mission of "Powering The Enterprising Generation".
