This event will mark African Diaspora and Development Day 2010.

Dr Shihan de Silva Jayasuriya will discuss the historic and contemporary role of Africans in the military and their contributions to the music of the Indian subcontinent followed by Gibril Faal\'s lecture, which will outline the historical basis of the different African Diasporas and their role in contemporary African socio-economic development.
