Marcus Bicknell; a Buckinghamshire based Serial Intrapreneur, will be giving a lecture to the BSc Business Enterprise (BBE) students and anyone can come along.

Marcus has had a very varied career, including managing the rock group, Genesis, working for CBS and A&M Records in the 1970s, being a founder Commercial Director of Luxembourg based satellite ASTRA 1986-1990, MD Europe for TV channels BBC World and BBC Prime and President of CMGI Europe (AltaVista, Geocities, Engage profiling, Lycos). Marcus’ latest venture is award-winning eco-products specialist RainWaterHarvesting.co.uk, whose start-up success is based on cuddling up with a cash-rich warehousing and fulfilment centre.

Marcus' lecture, entitled "The Intrapreneur in our Midst"  will point out that for most people in the business world it is better to innovate from within a corporate environment, rather than setting up a start-up company. He will show you why he believes this, with actual examples, both successes and failures.

If you would like to come along, please e-mail kim.pittwood@buckingham.ac.uk to let her know, in order that she can arrange coffee/teas.
